The product: transparent dome is a cozy garden room
One of the contenders for the title of The Product Made in Limburg is Mister Domes, a transparent dome with a diameter of up to 8 meters, which can be placed in the garden as an extra living space, hobby room, studio or B&B room. Joan Eerdekens and Ruben Clijsters, the enterprising duo behind Mister Domes, have the ambition to explore the international markets with their product.

“Mister Domes is a 360° open view dome that can serve as an additional living, residential or working space and was developed by us with an eye for sustainability and a connection with the environment and the seasons,” Joan Eerdekens begins the story. “The product is the result of a personal search for an additional outdoor space for my family, where I wanted something different. When the design was ready, and there was little willingness among existing manufacturers to make our product, we refined the concept and started looking for companies here in Limburg that could help us with the production.”
Joan is very proud of the result. “The idea of launching a product on the market yourself, with no knowledge of the subject: quite an adventure. The discovery, the encounters, the collaborations and then the end result… that is for me my greatest achievement in my professional life. On top of that, our domes meet the challenges of the future, they are multifunctional, sustainable and 100% recyclable. For us, all the more reasons to be proud!”
The duo is thinking of various applications for the dome. “Customers can be both private buyers, who are looking for extra living and residential space, and professionals who opt for an inspiring meeting or work space or want to operate their dome as a B&B. Sleeping under the stars, who doesn’t dream of that?”
Mister Domes is ambitious. “We are resolutely continuing with further development, in other shapes, sizes, etc. We are improving sustainability step by step. We want to offer our product as a total project, including installation and furnishing. Various products can be supplied so that you get a space completely customized. We are currently setting up a dealer network with Mister Domes, and we are also going to explore the international markets. Indeed, a real product 'Made in Limburg', which we are convinced will reach great heights everywhere!”
